Bought Launch ThinkDiag to diagnose BMW one week ago, I got error message "Failed to obtain the VCI control information via internet, error code is -2" and VIN deconding error " Read VIN info failed".
obd2shop.co.uk chief engineer replied:
Please re-download BMW software and check again,then the problem will be sort out.
Finally! solved!
I deleted app and reinstall, now all working OK
